Infobase Credo Reference Refresh Coming August 21

Credo Reference is getting a refresh in August! There may be access disruptions while the work is carried out. Updates will begin Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 8:00 am ET and are anticipated to take about 24 hours. Banners will be present on the platform with messaging to communicate with users during this time.

Welcome New Amigos Employees: Alex and Jacob

Amigos recently welcomed two new employees. Alex Womack has been hired for the position of Client Coordinator, Association Management Services (AMS). Jacob San Antonio is working as Amigos Customer Support Specialist, Member Discount Services and Trans-Amigos Express.

Easy Opt-in for Access to NISO Webinars

The recent agreement between National Information Standards Organization (NISO) and Amigos Library Services (Amigos) now extends NISO Library Standards Alliance (LSA) membership to all Amigos members. The agreement provides over 500 Amigos member libraries with full LSA membership benefits, including free access to NISO's educational webinar program.

NISO Announces Publication of the Peer Review Terminology Standard

The National Information Standards Organization (NISO) is recently announced the publication of the Peer Review Terminology Standard, which will support open research by simplifying the communication of peer review roles and practices and fostering greater transparency in the peer review process.

NISO Seeks Members for the Working Group to Develop Standard Metadata for Remediation of Content for Accessibility

Voting members of the National Information Standards Organization (NISO) have approved the formation of a Working Group to refine and extend the metadata model developed in the Federating Repositories of Accessible Material for Education (FRAME) project, which will enable it to meet broader accessibility needs. NISO is currently seeking members from across the information community to join the resulting Accessibility Remediation Metadata (ARM) Working Group.
