SimplyE: Troubleshooting

Inevitably, patrons will come to the library with questions about SimplyE. In most cases, libraries provide initial support for this app, but who supports the library? This session will help libraries formulate and address responses to some common questions; differentiate between the types of questions that can be handled by the library and those that need to be escalated to a hosting service like Amigos; and understand the troubleshooting process and how to make it work for the library. SimplyE gathers ebook and audiobook titles from multiple vendors into a single app so patrons can easily explore across a library's digital content in a single search.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the session, the participant will be able to:

  • List basic steps for troubleshooting.
  • Review differences in supporting patrons face-to-face and via email or text.
  • Create a list of common SimplyE issues and how to identify and fix them.
