June is Cataloging Month!

Amigos is offering two cataloging workshops in June.

• Cataloging & Classification Basics: If you’ve just learned that copy cataloging will be part of your job and you have no training or experience, this class is for you. From basic terminology to MARC fixed and variable fields to matching records with resources, this class provides a solid introduction for those new to cataloging. Class meets June 2-4 and 9-11, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. CDT. Register here.
• Cataloging with RDA: If you’re a more advanced cataloger who wants a thorough introduction to the new cataloging standard, you’re in luck. This class covers instructions for description, preferred titles, access points for works and expressions, access points for persons, families and corporate bodies and relationship designators. Class meets June 16-19, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. CDT. Register here.
