Amigos Board Announces Election Results, Selects Officers for 2026-27

Amigos Library Services is pleased to announce the following individuals have been elected to three-year terms (2026-2029) on the Amigos Board of Directors: 

  • Mr. Jeffry Archer, Dean of Libraries, Museums, and the Press, Baylor University (Texas) 
  • Mr. Lee Hilyer, Executive Director, University of Houston - Clear Lake, Alfred R. Neumann Library (Texas) 
  • Ms. Cynthia Shetter, Director, Los Lunas Public Library/Museum of Heritage and Arts (N. M.) 
  • Ms. Ann Gaebe, Librarian (retired), Tulsa City-County Library (Okla.) 

They join returning Board members: 

  • Ms. Jennifer Eldridge, Library Director, Longview (Texas) Public Library 
  • Dr. Brent Mai, Dean of Libraries, Wichita State University (Kan.) 
  • Ms. L. Renee Gorrell, Library Director, Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College (Mo.) 
  • Dr. Rodney Lippard, Director, Torreyson Library, University of Central Arkansas 
  • Ms. Danitza Lopez, Director, Nogales - Santa Cruz County Public Library (Ariz.) 
  • Mr. Brent Schondelmeyer, Deputy Director (retired), Local Investments Commission (Mo.) 
  • Ms. Paula Settoon, Dean of Libraries and Knowledge Management, Tulsa Community College (Okla.) 
  • Mr. Mark Smith, Director and Librarian (Retired), Texas State Library and Archives Commission 
  • Mr. Miguel Figueroa, President & Chief Executive Officer, Amigos Library Services, Ex Officio
