Kyla Hunt joined Amigos Library Services on January 12th as the new Library Services Trainer and Missouri Libraries 2 Go (MOLIB2GO) Coordinator.
In her role, Kyla will help facilitate and lead trainings from Amigos' schedule of Know & Go and Live Online training sessions, Online Conference series, and Community Conversations. Kyla will also help manage the Missouri Libraries 2 Go (MOLIB2GO) consortium.
Kyla previously worked in the technical services and circulation departments of the award-winning Cedar Park Public Library. She also led the Small Library Management Training Program at the Texas State Library and Archives Commission (2010-2011, 2017-2020) and was a part of the inaugural selection committee for ALA’s Graphic Novels & Comics Round Table’s Best Graphic Novels for Adults Reading List (2020-2021).
Kyla had previously worked with Amigos in the role of Public Services and Technology Trends Specialist (2015-2016). Her career has featured experience in a variety of government, nonprofit and library institutions, including TechSoup Global and the County of Los Angeles Public Libraries. Her book Library Programs and Services for New Adults was published in 2017.
