Amigos encourages staff from member libraries to apply for the 2026 NISO Plus Scholarship Award through November 24, 2025. The program is designed for emerging and mid-career professionals whose perspectives are underrepresented in scholarly communications and who are eager to learn, network, and help shape the future of the information community.
Scholarship recipients receive complimentary registration for all NISO Plus virtual programming, the NISO Plus Global/Online Conference in September 2026, and all NISO educational webinars through 2027. Additional benefits include discounted event registrations, networking with NISO board members and past awardees, and opportunities to volunteer on NISO committees and standards projects.
Recipients will be recognized in the NISO Plus blog and Information/Online newsletter. Up to three awardees will also receive travel and lodging support to attend the February 2026 NISO Plus Conference in Baltimore, MD.
As a reminder, Amigos members receive automatic Library Standards Alliance (LSA) membership in NISO, which includes access to free educational webinars, discounted event registration, and opportunities to engage in standards development initiatives.
