Updates and New Journals from Project MUSE

Project MUSE has announced they have met the sustainability threshold for another year of Subscribe to Open (S20), resulting in current content from over 100 journals across 28 publishers remaining available open access on the Project MUSE platform for a second year in 2026. A trusted provider of scholarly content for libraries, Project MUSE also expressed gratitude in their recent newsletter to all partnering libraries and institutions worldwide, as well as the S2O Community of Practice, for their commitment to ensuring vital humanities and social science scholarship is accessible to everyone.

In addition to another year of open access, Project MUSE also welcomes eight new journals for 2026:
