Oral Roberts University’s J.D. McKean Library invites applications for a full-time, 12-month faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank. This role includes teaching graduate courses in the newly developing Master of Library Media Leadership program offered in partnership with the College of Education, providing reference and liaison services, and supporting library systems. Candidates with a background in school librarianship or library media are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching graduate courses in the Master of Library Media Leadership program, including hybrid modular and online formats
- Reference and research assistance services for students, faculty, and staff
- Liaison services for assigned subject areas, including collection development and research guide creation
- Library systems support (WMS and Springshare products)
- Participation in library-wide planning, assessment, and professional development
Required Qualifications:
- MLS/MLIS from an ALA-accredited program
- Background in school librarianship, library media, or K-12 library services strongly preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience at the graduate level
- Academic library experience
- Familiarity with AASL standards and school library accreditation requirements
