Join Amigos Library Services on December 9, 2026, for Future Driven Collections, an online conference exploring how libraries are developing sustainable, innovative practices that support access to information today while preparing for the opportunities and challenges of tomorrow.
The conference will open with Lettie Y. Conrad, Ph.D., presenting The Benchmark Has Left the Building: Redefining Value and Success Metrics. Conrad will examine how artificial intelligence and other disruptive forces are reshaping the information landscape, challenging traditional benchmarks, and changing how libraries and other information organizations measure value, impact, and success.
The day of learning will also offer several concurrent sessions and conclude with Curating in the Age of AI: A Closing Discussion. Panelists Robin Hastings, Donalee Jacobs, and April Sheppard will explore how libraries can evaluate, describe, and provide access to AI-generated materials while addressing quality, transparency, discoverability, accessibility, intellectual freedom, and the importance of human judgment. Amigos Continuing Education Services Manager Chris Pryor will facilitate the discussion.
Register for Future Driven Collections today to gain practical perspectives on keeping library collections responsive, discoverable, and relevant in a rapidly changing information environment.
