Keynote Speakers Announced for Practical Paths to the AI-Enhanced Library

Join us on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, for Practical Paths to the AI-Enhanced Library, an Amigos online conference exploring how libraries are putting AI into action through real-world projects, collaborations, and service innovations. Attendees will gain practical insights, lessons learned, and creative approaches from library professionals who are navigating the evolving role of AI in their work. 

The conference will include both an opening and closing keynote presentation: 

Opening Keynote: Partnerships in Action – WashU Libraries & DI2 Navigating AI-Enhanced Services 
Presented by Mimi Calter and Kelly Walker-Moseley 

  • Mimi Calter, Vice Provost and University Librarian for Washington University in St. Louis, leads a team of 140 librarians, curators, archivists, and technologists who support research, teaching, and learning across the university. She plays an active role in shaping global library initiatives as Chair of the Academic & Research Libraries Standing Committee for IFLA and Chair-Elect of the Greater Western Library Alliance.
  • Kelly Walker-Moseley serves as Director of DI2 Strategic Partnerships within Washington University’s Digital Intelligence and Innovation Accelerator. She leads digital business strategy for the university’s Here & Next strategic plan, fostering collaboration and digital transformation. A certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Kelly brings extensive experience in program management, mergers and acquisitions, and business intelligence. 

Closing Keynote: The Human Element – Maintaining Judgment and Accountability When AI Is Used 
Presented by Lauren Hays, PhD, MLS 

An Associate Professor of Instructional Technology at the University of Central Missouri, Dr. Hays previously worked as an instruction librarian. Her research interests include digital literacy, information literacy, and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
