Shawna Thorup serves as Dean of Library and Academic Support Services at NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC). Since 2022, she and her team have been experimenting with and applying generative AI to support library services, teaching, learning, and professional development. Her interests include AI fluency, responsible AI adoption, accessibility, and helping educators use emerging technologies with confidence. Shawna enjoys sharing practical examples, lessons learned, and strategies that help faculty and staff move from AI curiosity to meaningful application.
