LibAnswers users will benefit from improved patron interactions and easier form management. New features include an updated CAPTCHA to help reduce spam submissions, the ability to automatically populate question forms with information from catalogs and discovery layers, and customizable introductory text for chat widgets. These enhancements can help libraries provide more efficient and user-friendly virtual reference services.
LibGuides has received several highly requested upgrades. Libraries can now display tabbed content as accordions, making guides easier to navigate and more accessible. Additional page templates for resource lists, databases, and resource landing pages provide greater design flexibility, while new options for customizing A–Z resource pages allow libraries to better tailor content and branding to their communities.
For libraries using LibStaffer and Incident & Issue Tracking, new tools support more effective patron and incident management. Updates include the ability to store multiple patron images, track identifying characteristics and notes, and receive incident notifications through Slack integrations.
