Acquisitions work encompasses the essential processes of ordering, receiving, and managing payment for library materials. By efficiently handling these tasks, library staff play a pivotal role in ensuring that library patrons have seamless access to the resources they require.

Beginning with the opening keynote "Empowering Libraries: Strategies for Talent Development, Collection Enhancement, and Community Engagement” from Roosevelt Weeks, Director of Libraries at Austin Public Library, the Amigos Member Conference 2024 will also include the Annual Member Business Meeting and several concurrent sessions on a variety of topics.

Amigos has opened registration for the sessions that make up the Metadata Principles and Practices Micro-Credentialing Series and the Metadata Management Tools Micro-Credentialing Series. To complete a micro-credential series and earn a certificate, attendees must complete specified courses and a capstone project.
