Fellowship Program

Each year, the Amigos Fellowship Program awards up to $7,500 to library and information professionals in Amigos member libraries to fund individuals' development projects.

Since the program’s founding in 1990, it has awarded over $70,000 to foster the development of library and information professionals in Amigos member libraries. Awards are based on the significance of a proposed project’s contribution to library cooperation and/or technology. To date, 46 funded projects have resulted in nationally published articles, enabled a recipient to complete research on a Ph.D., and been the basis for numerous training courses.
