Fellowship and Opportunity Award Program
The Amigos Fellowship and Opportunity Award Program supports library innovation, development, and research. Through a competitive application process, up to $10,000 is available annually to Amigos member libraries and their staffs.
The Fellowship and Opportunity Award Program evolved out of the Amigos Fellowship Program, which was founded in 1990. During its twenty year history, the Fellowship Program awarded over $90,000 to foster professional development. The new program, implemented in 2011, expanded the purposes to include funding that will encourage Amigos member libraries to innovate, cooperate, lead, and educate within their library, their communities, and the library profession.
Fellowship and Opportunity funding will be awarded to one or more projects per year. Project proposals may be submitted by an Amigos member library or an individual librarian working in an Amigos member library. Please read the full Guidelines for Application for full details on eligibility.
