In-Person Book Repair Basics Training Available in Dallas, April 24

Amigos is pleased to offer a hands-on introduction and overview to help library staff maintain their circulating hardcover book collection. Preservation expert Rebecca Elder will guide attendees through repair techniques for paper (surface cleaning, mending, tipping in pages) and books (hinge tightening and corner repair) and provide guidance for setting up a repair workspace, understanding book repair terminology, and engaging a conservator.
