Let It Go: Weeding Your Library’s Collection

It's no secret that information professionals have strong opinions when it comes to weeding, but weeding your library’s collection is a vital piece of collection development. In this course, attendees will learn about techniques for collection assessment, including how to establish evaluation criteria that fits your library, how to develop sound weeding policies, best practices and techniques for weeding your collection, and how to communicate about the process to your staff and patrons.

Do your patrons struggle with the intricacies of copyright?

Check out our course, Copyright 101: Helping Patrons Understand Copyright, where we will explore the history of American copyright law and discuss how this law effects our work as information professionals. Upon completion of this course, participants will understand the purpose of copyright laws and regulations, distinguish ways that copyright law effects library work, and be able to apply copyright-related solutions to library work and interactions with patrons.
