Amigos, through its Association Management Services (AMS) unit, provided the infrastructure and onsite arrangements support for this year’s Library Marketing and Communications Conference, November 3-4 in Dallas at the Crowne Plaza Hotel-Addison. The conference was a gathering of library marketing and communications professionals from across the U.S. and other countries.
Last week's American League Championship Series was far more than just a clash between baseball teams and bat-flipping mayors. It became a battle of cultures -- Canada vs. the Midwest; barbecue vs. poutine; and now, thanks to the wonders of Twitter, Toronto's public library vs. Kansas City's public library.
Congratulations go to Amigos Member Discount Services Representative Erica Owusu, whose poster at the South Central Chapter of the Medical Library Association's annual conference October 2-7 in Little Rock received the Elizabeth K. Eaton, PhD Research Award for First Place in Contributed Posters.
