The Porter Henderson Library at Angelo State University, San Angelo, TX has a late night staff position open in the Access Service unit. This is an entry level position.

Under the supervision of the Head of Access Services, helps meet the needs of the unit and general library operation needs. Oversees and supports the unit’s student assistants in absence of the direct supervisor, including sole oversight of the building and library in absence of the direct supervisor or other full-time staff, thus calling for originality and independent decision making. Assists in processing Interlibrary Loan requests and basic reference services in close coordination with the Research and Collections unit. Maintains awareness and shares responsibility for facility integrity within the library policy and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completed college coursework or bachelor’s degree.
  • Two+ years of library, museum, or archival related experience, or completion of six semester hours in library science.
