User Services Librarian -- Lawton Public Library -- Lawton, OK

The Lawton Public Library is looking for its next User Services Librarian! Be a part of a team committed to serving our community through exciting events and services. Play with the Glowforge laser engraver, use the Digital Memory Center to digitize old family tapes, and help promote our Telehealth booth. The library now has RFID and an interactive historical marker trail around town. The annual Chautauqua event is coming up soon. There is always something new in the works!

The User Services Librarian is a professional position and directly supervises 1 full-time employee. This position reports to the Deputy Library Director. The User Services Librarian does some collection development, cataloging, database management, reference work, event planning, and more – all with a great team of co-workers to help make it happen.

Lawton, pride of southwest Oklahoma, is home to Fort Sill Army Post. With the Wichita Mountains National Refuge close by, there is outdoor recreation year-round. There are numerous arts and culture events and the Farmer’s Market is across the street from the library. Oklahoma City is 1 ½ hours away and Dallas is an easy day trip.
