Getting Started with Grant Writing

In a time when budgets are shrinking, more and more libraries are turning to external funding, such as grants, to help fund special initiatives, projects, or services. If you have never written a grant proposal before, it can be a daunting task to keep track of all the required forms and documents in addition to finding a funding source.

The class takes students beyond basic archival processing guidelines to address how to deal with specific types of items found in collections such as newspaper clippings and post-it notes. This new class will take a more specific look at the description of items and folders.
