Amigos Improves Members’ Subscription Renewal Experience with Switch to ConsortiaManager

In October 2022, Amigos made the transition to ConsortiaManager (CM) as its subscription management system. CM is a commercial product specific to consortia and used worldwide by more than 40 consortia. It offers numerous benefits to both Amigos members and Amigos staff, including improved data management, robust reporting capabilities, and more opportunities for members to engage with their subscription information.

Live recorded training sessions conducted by CM staff for Amigos members are expected to be scheduled for October and November. Detailed training information will be shared in the upcoming weeks and outlined in following AmigosNow editions.

Improved Experience (Amigos Members)
Consortia Manager provides an option of self-service desired by Amigos members users (for those who prefer it) an easy to understand overview along with increased visibility and control of their information and subscriptions. With one log in, Amigos member who choose to use their Consortia Manager account will have access to:

  • View current subscriptions through Amigos, when they’re due, payment history, and savings over list price
  • Log IP address changes that will notify the publishers/vendors directly
  • View and update FTE and subscription renewal contacts
  • Explore and opt into special offers, or subscriptions

How To Gain Access (Amigos Members)
Each contact will have login information for CM and there is no account setup action required for the contact/member to take. Accounts will be set up by Amigos and login information will be communicated to appropriate members via email.

Member may choose to not use their CM login and will still have the option to reply to renewal emails and work with Amigos to have their subscriptions renewed that way.

Consortia Manager makes subscription processing efficient and offers a way for Amigos staff to show members their stored information, efficiently handle changes they want to make to that information and highlight new products available while conducting regular renewal business.
