Public Services Librarian - Acquisitions -- South Plains College -- Levelland, TX

Job Description:
South Plains College – Levelland Campus invites applications for a collaborative, enthusiastic, innovative, service-oriented, and technically strong librarian for the position of Public Services Librarian - Acquisitions. This person is responsible for the acquisition of library materials at the library; managing statistical data and report generation in their area including maintaining the library material budget every month; orders and receives all requests for materials submitted by faculty and librarians; oversees the cataloging and processing of all library materials; providing reference services both digitally and through regular shifts at the Information Desk; acts as library liaison to assigned academic departments and maintaining an awareness of emerging technologies, standards and technical issues relating to electronic resources. The Public Services Librarian - Acquisitions supervises one full-time paraprofessional and a Scholarship Assistant. This position reports directly to the Director of Libraries.
