Working with teens in the library can have its own unique set of challenges. Learn how brain development, social media and every day stress and pressures, plays a role in how teens respond to you and the world around them. This training will share strategies to help develop skills to build strong relationships with teens.

Learning Objectives: 

1. Identify how brain development and mental health play an important role in our daily interactions with teen patrons.
2. Learn how to create a welcoming environment for teens in your library.
3. Advocate for the teens in your library using YALSA competencies.
