Member Spotlight - Rogers State University

Rogers State University (RSU), a regional four-year university serving northeastern Oklahoma and the Tulsa metropolitan area is located in Claremore, Oklahoma, and is recognized for high-quality academic programs, a nurturing scholastic atmosphere, distance learning options, and a high-technology learning environment. The university operates three full-service campuses in Claremore, Bartlesville, and Pryor, Oklahoma. In 2014, RSU Libraries opened and staffed a library at the Pryor campus, and is currently in the planning stages for a library branch at the Bartlesville campus.

Stratton Taylor LibraryOriginally a two-year institution, RSU has gone through many changes over the years and offered their first Master's program, a Masters of Business Administration, in 2014.

The Stratton Taylor Library has been an Amigos member since 1992. Library support and staff take advantage of FREE Amigos member benefits, such as participation in our online conferences and subscription to the RDA Toolkit. Library staff also participate in our continuing education programs, particularly our cataloging and metadata courses. The library saves money by subscribing to the following services through Amigos: LexisNexis-Academic, LibAnswers and LibCal, Project MUSE, ProQuest-Statistical Abstracts of the US, and Serials Solutions – 360 Link.

Stratton Taylor Library became a selective depository for federal government publications and information in the summer of 2006, and became a member of the Oklahoma State Publications depository system in May of 2008.

Did you know that a collection of 57 porcelain sculptures of birds in their natural habitat is featured in the Stratton Taylor Library? These sculptures by Edward Marshal Boehm, one of the leading wildlife artists of the 20th century, were donated to RSU by Bill and Betty Holman of Claremore.
