Assistant Librarian - Education Librarian (Faculty) -- Texas A&M University, Central Texas -- Killeen, TX

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Head of Reference, the library faculty member in this position acts as the liaison to the College of Education and provides generalized reference services. They coordinate research support to departments within the College of Education, including Psychology and Counseling, Educational Leadership, and Curriculum and Instruction. They also guide educational services offered by the library to the community, develop educational programs for K-12 students, and develop special collections of learning and information resources related to education and psychology.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Master of Library Science or equivalent degree from an American Library Association accredited University or College.
  • Experience working with children in an educational, mental health, or related setting.
  • Ability to meet research and service expectations as a professional track faculty member. Must be self-motivated, creative, and innovative. Excellent interpersonal relations skills.

HOURS: Variable- Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, some nights and weekends

SALARY: $47,000
