Whether it’s RDA or tech tools that you can use on the reference desk, here are just a few of the offerings we have over the next couple of months.

RDA for Copy Catalogers
This two-day live-online workshop will help you to recognize and interpret MARC records created using RDA. Among the topics to be covered: Understanding how RDA records differ from AACR2 records, identifying records created according to RDA instructions, distinguishing between records created using AACR2, RDA, and hybrid records, and recognizing new MARC fields defined because of RDA.

RDA for Audio Recordings
This four-hour workshop, geared towards catalogers who perform original and copy cataloging for audio recordings, covers the RDA instructions relevant to these recordings. Among the topics to be covered: Understanding where audio recordings fit in the FRBR data model, creating descriptions for audio recordings, creating access points for audio recordings, and selecting the appropriate relationship designators for access points.
