Course Type: 

Libraries are increasingly incorporating adult literacy programs into their library's programming structure. These programs are vital in helping to grow vigorous communities where everyone can read, write, and demonstrate basic math skills.

In this course, we will discuss the need for literacy programs in libraries of all types. We will list existing guidelines for literacy programs in libraries. Finally, we will identify literacy programs that have proven effective.

Target Audience: 
Attendees should have familiarity with Web browsers and the Internet. Basic HTML experience is preferred.
