Organizing Exhibitions

This course will provide practical guidance in creating and organizing successful exhibitions. Step-by-step instructions will guide participants through every aspect of an exhibition, from the beginning idea to the full-fledged exhibit. In-class exercises and homework will allow participants to put their newfound knowledge to use immediately.

  • Identify the key steps for a successful exhibition
  • Discover the benefits of creating an exhibition
  • Recognize common mistakes to avoid when organizing an exhibition.

Target Audience: 
This class is designed for librarians, archivists, museum staff and anyone who needs practical guidance on organizing exhibitions of any size.

None

Homework Expectations and Completion Requirements: 

  • Students will participate in class discussion and complete individual assignments.
  • It is designed for individual participation; each individual must register.
