Map Cataloging: The Basics

Do you have a backlog of maps gathering dust on your shelves, waiting to be cataloged? Are you perplexed about how to get started with cataloging cartographic resources and don't know which way to go? Let this course serve as the beginning compass for your cartographic cataloging journey! We will cover basics you need to get started, including the principles of map cataloging and MARC fields specific to cartographic resources. To put your learning into practice, you will even create a MARC record for a map.

Any staff involved with cataloging.
