Step Away from the Desk: Embedded and Roving Reference Services

Registration is closed for this event
Times have changed -- librarians and library staff can no longer sit and wait at the reference desk for patrons and students to come to them, instead, they have to meet them where they are. In this course, you'll learn how librarians are employing embedded and roving reference models to meet their patrons and students online and outside the physical library building. We will explore various embedded and roving reference service models, discuss best practices for implementation, marketing strategies, and techniques to assess the effectiveness of the service.
