Know & Go: Library Programming on a Shoestring Budget

Are your plans for expanding your library’s programming continuously outpacing your budget? When this happens, it may be tempting to scale back on your vision. Instead, this class will challenge you to focus your vision through a new lens set on brainstorming ideas and leveraging the power of collaboration.
 

This course will help you identify and employ several methods to make your shoestring budget, in-kind donations and free services offered by stakeholders all tie together for community programming needs.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss methods for brainstorming ideas
  • Identify and network with stakeholders and other librarians in your community
  • Employ best methods for approaching organizations about donating their services.

Target Audience:
This course is for librarians or library assistants who need assistance with funding and planning library programs and events. This course is applicable to all types of libraries.
