Know & Go: Collaborating through Social Media

Social media is an essential tool for librarians, but it goes beyond promoting our libraries and programs. Social media is an important collaborative tool. From think-tanks to idea boards, social media provides a link to your fellow librarians. This Know & Go will explore collaborative uses for various social media platforms and look at specific groups you can join and ideas being shared.
 

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify collaborative uses for social media
  • Discuss various types of social media collaboration
  • Discuss specific examples of librarians collaborating through social media
  • Identify groups librarians can join
