That's the name Amigos has given to the service it launched last summer as the Amigos Library Support Service. Through Ask Amigos, the knowledgeable and experienced staff at Amigos provides solutions to librarians' research and information needs covering all aspects of library operations for all types of libraries.
At its March 6 meeting in Dallas, the Amigos Board of Directors formally approved the FY2015 Business Plan, which includes allocations from the Amigos reserve fund to support additional member benefits and the e-book distribution platform development project currently underway.
With the approach of our April 3 topical online conference, "I've Got What in My Library? Caring for Non-Traditional Items," and our annual online Amigos Member Conference in May, whose theme is "Striking a Balance: Positive Practices in Libraries," I am struck – no pun intended – by the growing international interest in Amigos' online continuing education opportunities.
