Member Spotlight - Oklahoma City University Dulaney-Browne Library

Oklahoma City University is a coeducational, urban private university located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and has been an Amigos Library Services member since 1988. The university is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and offers a wide variety of degrees in the liberal arts, fine arts, sciences and business.

Dulaney-Browne Library support and staff take advantage of FREE Amigos member benefits, such as subscription to the RDA Toolkit, participation in our online conferences as attendees and Know & Go sessions and take advantage of discounted rates for our training courses. Oklahoma City University also participates in our courier service, Trans-Amigos Express (TAE). This service saves the library money and gives them the potential to connect with 240 TAE libraries and over 600 libraries in Kansas and Missouri (through Kansas Library Express, MALA, and MOBIUS) for ILL. The library also saves money by subscribing to five databases through our vendor partners!

The Dulaney-Browne Library was renovated from 2007 to 2015 to provide improved learning and collaboration spaces for students and to support collaborations with the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, the Center for Interpersonal Studies through Film and Literature, and Academic Support Services. The library strives to provide helpful people, great resources and great spaces in support of all of Oklahoma City University's students, faculty, and staff so that they can create, lead, and serve. Collections of particular interest include archival materials related to Oklahoma City University and Oklahoma Area United Methodists, the Leichter Listening Library's extensive collection of musical scores, an outstanding religion collection supported in part by a partnership with Saint Paul School of Theology, a unique collection of DVDs including those provided by the Oklahoma City University Film Institute, and membership in the Foundation Information Network, which provides foundation grant information to students and the general public.
