El Paso Librarian Named BRLA Staff Member of the Year

Diana C. Leyva was selected as the 2009 Border Regional Library Association (BRLA) Staff Member of the Year. She has been employed with the El Paso Public Library since 2000 and has been working at the Armijo Branch since 2006 where she serves as the Library Information Senior Specialist in charge of children’s programming and community outreach.

While working full-time, Diana is also attends classes at El Paso Community College working on her Associates Degree in Social Work. She provides great outreach services by visiting various agencies and neighborhood schools speaking to them about all of the services that the El Paso Public Libraries have to offer our communities plus information on upcoming Armijo Branch programs.
