Tom West serves as panelist for RA webcast

Tom West, Adult Coordinator for the Brazoria County Library System (TX), an Amigos member, was among the featured speakers for the free Novelist webcast, "Yes, You Can! - Readers Advisory for Everyone," held earlier today.

The webcast sought to show librarians how to leverage staff skill sets to move RA from "other duties as assigned" to an embraced role and service. West served on a panel whose members shared their experiences and how they empowered all staff to help all kinds of readers. Other panelists included Tammy Clausen, Berwyn Public Library (IL); and Duncan Smith, general manager and founding partner of Novelist, an Ebsco service.
