Last chance! Register now for "E-books in Libraries: An Update"

This is your last chance to register for the November 16 online conference, "E-books in Libraries: An Update." Remember, as a benefit of membership, Amigos members always attend our online conferences free of charge.

You won’t want to miss Lindsay Barnett’s morning session, "Using Administrative Metadata to Organize and Maintain Ebook Collections." Barnett will discuss the role of administrative metadata in organizing and maintaining multiple e-book collections, and explain why metadata should be a focus of the ongoing discussion of the use of e-books in libraries.

Another option for the morning session is Tom West's, "Subscription Alternatives to the One-Copy, One-User eBook Model." West will share his thoughts and data on the various subscription platforms that the Brazoria County Library System in Texas uses to provide e-books and other digital materials for its patrons, such as Freading/Freegal, Hoopla, and Total Boox. He will analyze the cost-benefit as compared to the leading one-copy, one-user platforms OverDrive and 3M Cloud Library.

Two concurrent sessions will run throughout the day.

Visit the conference website for complete registration information, schedules, and session descriptions.
