$10,000 in Funding Available to Amigos Members For Innovation, Development, or Research

Do you have an idea for an innovative project that advances the services of the library or creates a change? Apply for the Amigos Fellowship and Opportunity Award today! Applications are now being accepted.

The Amigos Fellowship and Opportunity Award Program supports library innovation, development, and research. Through a competitive application process, up to $10,000 is available to Amigos member libraries of all types and to their staffs to fund projects that stress innovation, cooperation, leadership, and development of libraries and librarians.

Project proposals may be submitted by an Amigos member library or an individual librarian working in an Amigos member library. Funding may be requested for projects that will advance the services of the library or promote the growth and development of individuals or teams. Projects supporting the library may develop new services, implement new tools, advance library services for the community, or create change. Projects supporting individuals may involve demonstration, fact-finding, or career development. The application guidelines provide additional details on eligibility and the application process. Final applications for 2015 Amigos Fellowship and Opportunity Awards are due March 15, 2015. Amigos strongly encourages applicants to submit proposals for preliminary review. The deadline for submitting a draft for preliminary review is January 20, 2015.
