Know & Go: Family Literacy - Creating Ready Readers

Registration is closed for this event
Studies have shown that parents who read to their children, have books in their home, exhibit a positive attitude toward school, and establish high achievement goals for their children tend to have higher achievers than parents who do not. As librarians, we are in a position to help parents grow their children's love of reading. This course will define Family Literacy, identify the library's role in facilitating Family Literacy, and explore programs to promote Family Literacy.
